It’s been too cold in the workshop the last few days to do any of the painting or epoxying that I needed to do. The roads are just too slippy to risk going to pick up materials for the next project. So I got this down off the shelf to keep me busy while I wait for it to warm up.
Is this the longest model boat-building project ever? Probably! It was started by my father in the mid fifties, I think, and lay on the top shelf in his workshop for my entire life. Until, that is, he moved house and had to clear out his workshop. I thought it was high time that the model was finished. I have the spars and sails that he made all those years ago and I’ve glued up the waterline pieces . There’s also a keel section which I will add later when I have the main hull shaped.
