Similar to the Alden designed Quill the Matson S is a stylish low power day boat. Designed by reknowned designers William and John Atkin ( see another of their designs previously built by Roeboats ) She’s a single engined boat using a 100hp modern diesel she’ll give quiet and enjoyable performance up to a top speed of 15 knots which is plenty fast for many enjoyable days on the water.

She has a very large cockpit for you and your family to fish from or just laze about and enjoy the adventure and relaxation unique to a day on the water. Her wheelhouse has a modest galley, full length berth ( a V berth can be built in forward if required) and a full height toilet/head compartment. Of course you can have the interior of the boat arranged just as you want it.

As you can see from the lines drawing your boat will have a beautifully flared and therefore dry riding bow that sweeps aft to a classic tumblehome stern that you are unlikely to find on a fiberglass boat (it won’t come out of a mould). She as a sharp entry and her long keel will make her track straight in rough water it also protects the rudder and propellor from damage and allows her to dry out level.
