8′ Clinker Tender

8′ Pram Dinghy / Tender

This 8′ Pram dinghy or yacht tender is built using traditional clinker planking of Port Orford Cedar fastened to steam bent oak frames with all copper fastenings. Built for a very experienced repeat customer to replace a very well known tender brand. He reports that the boat far exceeds his curentboat for stability and rowing ability. He is delighted with his new boat.

Each boat is custom built and as such Roeboats can build it to fit on your deck, davits or even your shed. The pram bow increases load carrying capacity for a given length and is the best form for a boat of this type. The oars were custom made with spoon blades, real hand stitched leathers and Turk’s Head knot buttons. They just fit in the boat and can be crossed in the boat so that the can’t fall out a very useful feature in a boat that is intended to be towed at some point in it’s life.
