Here’s a lovely gaff cutter that will be equally good as a family day-sailor or as a small pocket cruiser for a couple. Designed by Dudley Dix she has the beautiful looks and easy handling associated with a gaff cutter rig. Each sail is easily handled, even by smaller crew members, and as the boat is reefed down the centre of effort is lowered and brought inboard. It is the rig of choice for many reknowned small boat ocean voyagers, most notably Lin and Larry Pardey.

The cockpit is comfortable, well sheltered by the raised deck forward and is large with an auxilliary outboard in a well close at hand giving easy control of the iron wind to the helmsman when the wind dies.

The interior is set out with two quarter berths that extend under the cockpit and really large v-berth forward of the mast, with porta potti underneath. There is also a galley with sink and gas stove to port with cool box below and a counter with storage drawers under on the starboard side. This boat was also fitted with a solar powered electric system, with lights, ipad etc. charging and depth sounder.
