Around the same time that I was commissioned to build the 18′ Faering, a long time client approached me to build him a 8’clinker pram. He had thought to build one himself but on reflection realised that it wasn’t going to be possible. She’ll be used as a tender to a boat I built for him in 2013.

As you can see it is a fairly simple boat built over a single mold. The planking is 3/8″ or 9mm Lawson’s Cypress like I used on Spraoi. As I was working alone it was easier to screw the planks together before nailing as I was using a bedding compound in the laps to ensure that the boat wouldn’t need to take up each time it was used.
